4th of July

Joe has had a great day.  He got his feeding tube out and had a popsicle, he was even able to have a little cookie, at the expense of a little nausea. The nurse's seem to be able to keep his pain in a little bit better control. It seems to bring his spirits up.  He was able to talk a lot more and carry on conversations with visitors. He even turned on the TV for the first time in a long time.  He is hoping for some surgery tomorrow, but they have not been able to confirm this yet.
Brendalyn's spirits seemed to up along with Joe's.  However, her spirits seem to always be up.  She is the ultimate optimist. I am sure Joe appreciates all her support.
Hopefully Brendalyn and Joe will be able to see the fireworks from the hospital tonight.  They should have a great view of Murray Park.  Have a safe and Happy 4th of July !
